I think everybody is going to count what they've done for the whole year. Some people realised it by the end of a hijrah year, some may following gregorian's calendar. Some may only realised after a long term of many years, and some never realised. It's up to the beholder. Nothing to be judge of not being fully islamic or else. The most important is how "insaf" are you to build a better life in future and being good for yourself and others. And learning from the pass experiences for a better person by the next. This is for me. So pick it (good lesson from both the good and bad experiences) up for another entangle of life. May it become no confusion. For being just a small part of life depiction.
